UC Riverside’s School of Education has unveiled a newly renovated courtyard at Sproul Hall, designed to serve as a central gathering space for students. Over the summer, the previously underutilized area was transformed into a welcoming environment where students can meet, study, and socialize. James Rowland, the director of marketing and communications for the school, emphasized the importance of creating an inviting atmosphere conducive to collaboration and community engagement.
The courtyard, which once featured basic chairs and tables, has undergone significant upgrades. The previous poor lighting has been improved, and the addition of landscaping enhances the aesthetic appeal of the space. This initiative reflects the school’s commitment to fostering a sense of community among students and providing them with a comfortable environment to connect and collaborate. The revitalized courtyard is expected to become a popular hub for student activities and interactions, enriching the overall educational experience at UC Riverside.
