Summit Education Foundation Boosts School Funding Through Trivia Night Success

The Education Foundation of the Summit successfully hosted its annual Trivia Night fundraiser on Friday, March 27, at the Silverthorne Pavilion, drawing a crowd of over 200 enthusiastic participants. The event, which has become a staple in the community’s social calendar, was designed to generate critical financial support for Summit County’s public schools.

Attendees formed teams to compete in rounds of general knowledge questions, covering topics from history and science to pop culture and local trivia. The competitive yet friendly atmosphere was punctuated by laughter, strategic whispers among teammates, and the occasional groan over a missed answer. Beyond the intellectual challenge, the evening featured a silent auction, raffle prizes, and a cash bar, all contributing to the fundraising total.

Proceeds from the night will be directed toward classroom grants, teacher supplies, and innovative educational programs that might otherwise go unfunded due to budget constraints. The Education Foundation of the Summit has long served as a vital bridge between community resources and the needs of local educators, and this year’s Trivia Night continued that tradition.

Organizers expressed gratitude for the strong turnout and the generosity of local businesses that donated prizes and sponsorships. The event not only raised essential funds but also reinforced the community’s collective commitment to strengthening public education in Summit County. With the success of this year’s gathering, plans are already underway for next year’s trivia challenge.
